Help Raise Money For Breast Cancer Survivors and a Freebie!

If you missed the opportunity to download my new ebook when it launched, you’ll have another chance to get it for free on Monday, October 14 from about 12 am to 11:59 pm PST.

Even though most of the information contained in the ebook, “Homeschooling in Pennsylvania: How to Comply With the Law in 8 Easy Steps“, is available for free on this site, I thought the ebook format would be more convenient for readers and lends itself to a step-by-step progression.

I clearly remember when I was trying to figure out the requirements of homeschooling in Pennsylvania more than 10 years ago. I found a couple of informative sites but found myself clicking around from one topic to the next. I felt like I was clicking around in circles and worried that I was missing something important. I think the ebook minimizes that problem.

So, how am I hoping to raise money to help survivors of breast cancer? For every sale and every honest review left on Amazon during the month of October, I’ll make a donation to The Pink Tie Affair, an organization dedicated to providing financial and emotional support to breast cancer survivors. I had never heard of it until my dear friend was diagnosed the first time a few years ago. Out of the blue, this wonderful group of people, none of whom she knew, sent her money, directed her to resources and encouraged her during her treatment. She continues to support this worthwhile charity through her own efforts even though she’s battling the disease a second time.

Certainly, I can (and have) made donations to benefit the Pink Tie Affair in the past but that doesn’t necessarily raise awareness for what they do. It’s just sort of me making a donation. I thought my little campaign would let others know the group is out there. If you’re inspired to make a donation yourself….thank you so much. If you know someone who can benefit from their resources, please encourage them to apply for assistance. You can download an application right from the website. I think that’s how they found my friend.

Obviously, I’m thrilled if you’ve read the book and think it’s a helpful resource. Even if you think it stinks and give it a 1 or 2 star review, those will also count toward my donation. You do not have to buy the book in order to leave a review but you have to download it. If you miss the free day and decide to purchase it during October and leave a review, that would count for 2 donations. If you don’t own a Kindle, you can read the book on your computer or download the Kindle app for iphone or android.

If you have any questions or experiences with the group, please feel free to comment or contact me.
